Modeling sweater by Great Grandma RuthHello friends and family! Sorry to have taken so long to get an update posted. The time is flying so fast and Renee is a very alert and busy little person so my goal of doing this on a regular basis hasn't happened for a while. We are all doing really well though. Renee is getting very chatty and started babbling "dadadadada" just in time for Father's Day. She doesn't use it just for Daddy yet, but I am trying to encourage that so I can tell him that she is calling him, not me.
She loves sitting up and is able to stay upright for long periods of time now before flopping over. So far only one nose dive on a non-bouncy surface. Boy did that make her mad!
We are also starting solids and she loves her rice cereal. Still out on whether applesauce is a hit or not. There were lots of funny shudders as she ate it. She likes to help me drink my water and laps it out of the glass, kitty-style. Her tongue is a new favorite discovery too and she may have a future as a Kiss Revival Band singer at some point. Don't know where the long tongue came from!
She is starting to roll from back to front, but still doesn't like tummy time so she gets frustrated once she gets there.
We have had some special visitors in the last month or so. Great Uncle Glenn made a surprise visit while he was out here on business. We also got to finally meet Aunt Chin!! We got to see cousins Rachel and Leila some more while they were staying with Grandma and Grandpa, and even went to the Woodland Park Zoo for Renee's 1st time.
All this fun and the summer is just getting started!
