We like to visit!

While quiet sleepy days at home with just Mom and Renee are fun, we do so like to see people. We had a nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa Rodney last Thursday after driving up to Mt. Vernon for lunch. It was a lovely day and Miss Renee is a very good traveller. She sleeps most of the time the car is moving. She also slept through lunch so we could all enjoy our meal and watch her as she dozed.

Our big treat this week was that Uncle Ben came to see us for 4 days! It went way too fast, but we had a very nice visit and hope he won't wait so long until his next trip out here. We tried our best to entice him to stay by taking him golfing and to Redhook Brewery and to the EMP (Experience Music Project). He was much impressed by our balmy weather here (only by east coast comparison) and was in shorts and flip flops for most of the stay. There was also some good snuggle time with Renee mixed in with zombie killing with Glenn.

She's not yet sure how she really feels about her little bouncy chair with all those bells and whistles. Glenn thinks it vibrates too much too be good for her developing brain. May have to wait until she weighs a bit more before we turn that part on so it doesn't jiggle her too much.

One Month!

Where is the time going? How can she be getting so big so fast? How do we slow this down so we can enjoy it even more? Any advice from you seasoned parents out there?

We have had a great couple weeks here getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Bedard while they were here. Renee and Melanie are having withdrawls since they left on Wednesday since there are now only one set of arms to hold the baby now. We had a wonderful time just hanging out and watching the baby for the most part. She got lots of good snuggles in with them both.

We all got together with Grandma and Grandpa Rodney too so Renee had four doting grandparents to "ooh and ahh" over her. It's a hard job to be so lovable!

We've had some weird winter weather during the last week here again. We thank Deb for our cozy warm bear suit so going outside is not too chilly!

Now a few words from the little lady herself:

Daddy is now getting some special time with Renee by sharing in the feeding. Renee has had a few bottles so far and while she drools most of it out, she hasn't yelled at her daddy yet like Melanie did the first time her dad tried to give her a bottle.
