Glenn & Melanie Multiply: It's April!

Time sure is passing quickly! Only another week or so and Renee and I will be returning to work. We start back on the 15th and look forward to seeing Cole and Bryce again. Hope the boys will also be glad to see us :)

I am continually amazed at how quickly Renee is growing and changing. She is very alert and has become captivated by many new things lately from the fish all around her bedroom to storybooks to Muffy (Grandma and Grandpa's poodle). She is also gaining more control over her fast moving fingers and while she might occasionally poke herself in the eye still she is getting better at finding her mouth instead. Glenn and I enjoy listening to her settle in at night as she is a very noisy finger slurper and can make quite the racket for one so small.

While she still does not like tummy time, she loves to pull herself to a sitting postion and is happiest if you hold her so she can stand. She is still a little small for her Bumpo seat so we've only put her in it for a few minutes here and there.

We have had some fun outings in the last week or so. We went to a Mommy at the Movies showing of "Sunshine Cleaning". One of the local theaters opens early so moms can bring in little ones and if babes make noise noone cares since we are all in the same boat. They keep the lights up a bit so the theater is not too dark and the movie is not too loud. They all take popcorn orders and bring them to your seat :) We went to this with two of our new mommy friends who were in our Labor and Birth Class. We are hoping the weather will continue to improve so that we can join the stroller brigade and walk on Fridays with some other mommies too.

Renee and I had dinner with my knitting friends and love the very special blanket that they all made for her! Renee also got to meet cousins Rachel and Leila for the first time this week when we got to go to lunch with Grandma one day and then the girls spent the night with us before they had to go back over to Eastern Washington when their break was over.
